DESCRIPTION:Since 2023\, we have had the privilege of working with Gary Moss\, whose resilience\, perspective\, and generosity continue to inspire our team. Gary’s story is a powerful reminder of why our work matters. As a firm\, we are committed not only to serving our clients\, but also to honoring the people\, causes\, and communities that matter most to them. \nIn July 2021\, Gary lost sight in one eye\, and by November\, he had lost all of his sight. Although Gary sought care from medical professionals\, the cause was not initially identified. Doctors later discovered a three-inch tumor in his brain. After surgery\, Gary was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and underwent a stem cell transplant to treat the remaining tumor. His medical condition continues to be managed by the exceptional doctors at Fred Hutch\, and today Gary can see only changes in light. \nWhat makes Gary so meaningful to us is not only the challenges he has faced\, but the way he has moved forward. Before losing his sight\, Gary was a small business owner and ran RJM Precision\, a thriving company. After his vision loss\, he had to reshape his career and life path\, and it has been an honor to support him on that journey. In every conversation\, Gary brings grace\, perspective\, and a deep appreciation for life that leaves a lasting impression on our team. \nGary’s story is deeply personal to us\, and it also reflects something larger. Many of our friends\, clients\, and community members have received care at Fred Hutch. We know that without Fred Hutch\, many of those stories would look very different. \nWhen Gary invited us to join him in supporting Fred Hutch\, the answer was easy. In honor of Gary’s birthday on September 27\, our team will be climbing the Space Needle as part of the Base 2 Space event. \nJoin us: If you would like to climb with us or support Gary’s effort\, please register or contribute at https://runsignup.com/garymoss. If you plan to attend\, please let us know so we can look for you at the event. \nAbout Base 2 Space: The average participant takes 20-30 minutes to finish.
