Stacie Mills is Of Counsel at Nazzaro. Stacie's practice focuses primarily on providing general counsel services and advising business law clients on contract and procurement matters with local, state, and federal government agencies. Stacie has over a decade of experience as in-house counsel specializing in procurement matters with various government agencies in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Stacie's background has provided her with unique insight into the government contracting process and allows her to counsel clients at every stage of the procurement process. She has worked with clients to develop responses to requests for proposals, prepare bid protests, and ensure compliance with contract requirements once awarded. Stacie also understands the importance of accomplishing business objectives through legal strategies. She has used her knowledge of sourcing strategies to slash procurement costs by 15% through contract negotiations and worked with HR to properly classify employees to reduce costs and reduce compliance risks.
Stacie believes that government contracting should be accessible to all who wish to participate and seeks to help break down the barriers to entry that clients may face when seeking to do business with government entities. Prior to joining Nazzaro, Stacie was Contracts Counsel for an international law firm where she counseled on risk management and compliance issues, managed the firm's procurement process, and drafted and negotiated complex supplier agreements.
